Setting Up A New Email Address
One reason for setting up a new email address is that I don’t want to mix emails that I receive during this experiment with the regular emails my main online business gets.
Another reason is for use with Systeme, but probably not in the way you’d expect.
When you sign up for an account with them, you have to register with your email address and a password.
However, the first part of your email address (the bit before the @) is used to create your unique subdomain on their platform.
If you’re not fussy about that name, then you can sign up with any email address you have lying around.
I decided to create a brand new email address on Gmail for this.
However, the email addresses that I wanted to create were all taken.
Using ChatGPT
I wasn’t in a very creative mood today so I was having trouble dreaming up good email addresses.
I hopped on over to ChatGPT, a free online Artificial Intelligence engine and asked it to come up with some phrases relating to online business, marketing, etc.
After I logged in, I simply typed in this query and got these results:
I repeated the query several times using different terms between the quotes until I found a few phrases I liked the sound of.
Then I entered these into the GMail account creation page one after the other to see which ones were available.
Some, not surprisingly, were already taken.
But I did find three phrases that were available as Gmail addresses and I created partnershipprofitsplan@gmail.com
It’s not as targeted a phrase as I would have liked but it will do.
It’s Not Necessary But Buying The Domain Name Is Recommended Too
By the way, if you create an email address like this for yourself, I’d recommend that you buy the .com domain as well, if it’s available.
I did this for the partnershipprofitsplan.com domain already (it cost $8.99 on Dynadot) as it helps keep your email address and domain name aligned.
Dynadot does things a bit differently with DNS settings so if you want a more mainstream domain registrar, go with Namecheap.
.com domain names there are currently $6.98 but their renewal fees are higher than Dynadot’s.
Owning the domain means that I can create additional email addresses on it in the future, such as info@partnershipprofitsplan.com.
Getting a Free Domain Name
If you want to get a totally free domain that has no renewal fees, you can do that over at FreeNom.
The downside is that you can only get domain names with .tk, .ml, .ga, .cf and .gq.
If you happen to use the Clickfunnels marketing platform, you may get use out of the .cf domains.
To open an account with FreeNom, you need to go to the Services -> Register a New Domain menu option.
Unfortunately, when I tested this site, there was a notice saying that due to technical difficulties, it was not possible to register new domains.
I don’t know if this is a temporary problem or if it’s a long-standing one.
I’m sure there are other sites out there where you can get free domain names – if you know of any, please let me know in the comments.
Registering A Free Account With Systeme
Systeme, in case you didn’t read my previous post, is an all-in-one marketing platform that can create all the business assets you need from email lists to sales funnels, landing pages, blogs, webinars and courses.
Their free account (no credit card required) can be used for as long as you like, and does not have a trial period that limits your use.
You can use the free account to collect up to 2,000 subscribers, build 3 sales funnels, 1 website and 1 community which makes this a great option for those starting out on their own affiliate marketing journey.
I created a new free account using the partnershipprofitsplan@gmail.com Gmail address I created earlier.
After you click the Get My FREE Account button, you be asked to enter a password and, once that’s done, you’ll be taken to the Systeme dashboard.

In Closing
That’s as far as I got on Day 1 in a couple of hours (plus I was writing this post at the same time)
Expenses To Date: $15.99:
- $7 for the $60K In 4 Weeks: Email Marketing Made Easy Course (from Systeme itself)
- $8.99 for the partnershipprofitsplan.com domain name
Income To Date: $0.00 – well. I haven’t set everything up yet! 🙂
Time Spent on Day 1: about 2 hours – I lost time trying to find an email address I could create in GMail and I spent more time than I should have messing around on ChatGPT. If you follow along, you should be able to do what’s covered in this post much faster.
Researching FreeNom turned out to be a waste of time since it’s not accepting new domain registrations.
Tomorrow I’ll talk about how to set up a business email account for free, why you need one and not having to pay for a Google Workspace account.

Hi Gary,
This is such an informative article for me.
I have been thinking about adding Affiliate Marketing into my online business for a while now, but I wanted to get my initial part of it completed first.
But, now is the time to make a start on Affiliate Marketing and I am going to look into your recommendations here.
I will let you know how I get on and what is my preferred programme to start Affiliate Marketing.
Thank you for sharing and keep up the great work.
All the best,
Tom
I appreciate the feedback, Tom, thanks.
What I’m finding with this project is that most of my time is actually going on writing the blog post documenting my journey rather than actually taking the next steps.
That’s where there are time lapses between my blog posts in this series.
But I’ll be pushing onwards and I’ve been thinking of creating a beginner’s course inside Systeme as well which distills the important information and resources from the more general background information in the posts.
So, less about the journey and more about what to so and why but I don’t know if people would be interested in that.
Why do you think (includes anyone else reading this reply)?
All the best,
Gary
