UPDATE: 2nd October, 2024: Vidnami officially shut down in August of 2021 when the company was sold. Since the tool is no longer available, these are my recommended replacement video creation tools for 2024 and beyond:
- InVideo Studio - create videos yourself in much the same manner as Vidnami allowed but with more assets and features.
- InVideo AI - let AI create videos for you, Think InVideo Studio with AI.
- Read more: Using InVideo AI To Create A Marketing Video
- Pictory - another excellent tool for creating your own videos and having the capability of AI creating videos as well.
- CapCut - more of a video editor than a video creation tool. You basically upload the video elements you want and put them together, with some inbuilt resources, to create videos. Very good for creating vertical-style video shorts.
- Vidyo - a tool for intelligently creating short videos from a long video. Great for breaking up YouTube videos into video clips to use on social media platforms.
Here’s an interview the guys over at Vidnami (formerly Content Samurai) recently conducted with Fabricio Yutaka Fujikawa who is a Digital Marketing Specialist working in Brazil.
In this 6-minute interview, Fabricio reveals exactly how he created a viral video for one of his clients that has now had over 4.5 million views on Facebook and has been shared over 140,000 times.
And neither he nor his client spent a cent advertising it.
In the video you’ll discover:
- The best place to find content that goes viral
- Why getting your target audience right is SO important
- How tapping into a hot trend can skyrocket your views and likes
Imagine what creating and posting a viral video like this, along with a link to your squeeze or landing page would do for your list building efforts, subscriber numbers and sales!

Wow what a great technique this can be! I am going to try this out – got nothing to loose and everything to gain!
Thanks for sharing this with us Gary =)
It’s something I’ll have to try with my own more popular posts, Orion. 🙂
This opened up my eyes to a whole new possibility. I’m going to try Content Samuri myself. Thanks, Gary.
I think you’ll like it Steven. Very easy to use. All point and click. The toughest part is writing the script for your videos!
Viral videos are quite the phenomenon! I think the hardest part for beginning marketers is targeting their audience. Thanks for the info!
You could always add some tags to the video post description on Facebook, Dianne, to target the post more. You can add tags on YouTube videos as well that makes it easier for people to find them. There’s a free report here that shows you 18 tips to get your videos ranked higher.
Gary thank you for these great methods of gaining rankings. I am sure that this works really great and sounds very interesting. It does give me some ideas on how to approach some subjects I have been taking notes on. Perhaps this will lead to a conclusion and make it to the publishing point. Thanks again
Thanks, Xavier. Video is still one of the hottest promotional techniques today. You may find this free YouTube Cheat Sheet useful when putting your video together.
Hi Gary, it is definitely my aim to produce viral videos. These are great tips to help predict which video may be most likely to go viral and having all the tools in one place with Content Samurai.
Hi Tara. Don’t forget to check out the free Digital Productivity Playbook (unfortunately, it’s no longer available) and the YouTube Cheat Sheet for more great tips on getting your videos to appeal to your audience (so they’ll share it more) and rank higher! 🙂
As a Brazilian myself, I was quite proud of Fabricio and his viral video. 🙂
That being said, Content Samurai really seems to be an awesome tool! In my opinion, the main point here is “productivity” as he mentioned in the video.
I’m bookmarking this page for future reference.
Thanks!
You’re welcome, Elaine. It shows that you don’t have to be in the English-speaking world to have great viral videos. And, if you are in the English-speaking world, it should show you the possibilities of re-recording your video in a foreign language or providing subtitles in a foreign language. 🙂
I have been a user of Market Samurai since 2012 and I love it for my keyword research. However , I wasn’t sold on Content Samurai when they released it back in 2015. After reading your post and seeing the video, I am going to give it another look. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks for taking the time to comment, James. When I first looked at Content Samurai, it was $97 per month. There were no similar competing products at the time. Now there are and they’ve been forced to re-evaluate their pricing as a result. The regular price has been reduced to $47 per month though there’s a special offer here for a 25% discount where fees are only $35 per month. So now’s a good time to pick up a subscription! 🙂
I used to use Market Samurai myself for a few years. It’s a great tool but since it runs on your PC, it’s slow by today’s standards in retrieving keyword information. I now use the Jaaxy online keyword research tool which is very fast and provides indicators which show how easy it is to rank for a keyword. One plus for Market Samurai is that you only pay once for it ($149). Jaaxy is $19 per month.
I’m so glad I came across this post. I’ve been debating recently whether or not I should focus my marketing strategies for my business with videos; as well as growing my email list.
This is a 2 for 1 deal if you ask me.
It’s crazy how powerful building an email list can be for any business in any niche; and a viral video is something can take your business to the next level.
Thanks for sharing!
Glad to be of help, Diana. Building a list is the only way of ensuring you cam get repeat business online.
Hi Gary, doing videos is definitely something I’m working on right now,so your article is timely for me. I love this tip and going to be checking your other list of ideas, too. Thank you,
Annie
Thanks for commenting, Annie. There are so many ways to make videos these days that finding the time to make them should be the only issue! 🙂
I think that this is a great strategy to build your email list. I am definitely going to look into this further. It would be just awesome to build a list with a viral video.
Yes, it’s a very under-used strategy for building lists. You can just upload videos to YouTube or Facebook and put your squeeze page address in the video description and get signups that way. Or you can advertise on YouTube as I outline in this article.
Wow Gary! This is so informative and helpful.. Beyond inspiring. Reminds me to look at our analytics and then go from there.
Thank you
In peace and gratitude,ariel
Thanks, Ariel.
