So… did you hear that recently Russell Brunson had a chance to be on the TV show “The Profit“?
I’ll talk about the full story about how this happened in a second, but here’s a clip for you to see…
If you haven’t seen “The Profit” before, it’s one of Russell’s favourite shows.
Each week, Marcus Lemonis (AKA The Profit) picks a company that’s struggling, and he comes in and saves their businesses…
Having binge-watched almost every episode, Russell was so excited when he and his team were lucky enough to have Marcus Lemonis actually come and speak at their second Funnel Hacking Live event!
Russell’s Keynote Speech At Funnel Hacking Live 2020:
What Happened Behind The Scenes…
What a lot of people don’t know is the story that happened right before Marcus got on stage…
They had set up a 30 minute meeting with him before his presentation.
When he walked into the room everyone knew who was in charge.
He started asking them “what is ClickFunnels… what is a funnel?”
So they explained to him two or three times what a sales funnel was and then all of the sudden he got it…
“Wait a minute? How would we use a funnel for this business?”
And they told him…
“How would I use a funnel for this business?”
And they told him…
“And this one?”
And they told him…
Right then he had the same epiphany Russell had over a decade ago…
“So you’re telling me that EVERY business needs a funnel?”
Russell said “YES!“…
So Lemonis’ next comment was “we need to get you on the show!”
As you can imagine, Russell’s heart started to flutter and he almost passed out because he was so excited… and he probably would have if it weren’t for the fact that in about 5 minutes Lemonis ran up to the stage and gave his presentation…
While he was speaking, Russell had visions of how cool it would be to actually be on The Profit…
But then he thought “Nah, that’s probably not going to happen…”
But then the unthinkable happened:
About 2 weeks after the event, he saw 3 or 4 missed calls on his phone from Lemonis…
Russell thought that either he must be really upset with him or he had something really cool…
So he immediately called Lemonis back… and, when he answered the phone, this is what Russell heard from the other end:
“Russell, you’re being filmed, is that okay?”
Russell said, “yes…”
Lemonis said, “OK, this is the deal: Right now I’m working with a company and they are in dire need of a sales funnel…”
“I told them the only way I’d do this deal is if you built their sales funnel for them…”
“Are you willing to build their sales funnel for them on The Profit?”
Once again, Russell tried not to pass out because he was so nervous and so excited… he wanted to scream at the top of his lungs…
So, trying to act cool and casual, he said, “Sure, I’d love to help you out.”
That one call then turned into a trip to Los Angeles 2 weeks later…
He and his team had the chance to sit down with one of the companies that Lemonis was working with and build out not one… not two… but ELEVEN sales funnels for them!
This project was insane (and it turned out amazing!)
Now, why am I telling you this story?
First off, it’s pretty dang cool, don’t you think?…
It’s not every day you get to hang out with someone like Marcus… let alone actually help build out sales funnels for businesses he’s consulting…
Secondly, that episode of “The Profit“… the one that Russell got to be on where they built out the eleven funnels for the company…
For those who want to see it, you’re in luck!
Russell just posted the clip online, and wants to share it with you today.

One of the coolest things about this is that you’re going to have a chance to see how Russell and his team took a traditional e-commerce physical business and how they were able to use that to actually create a sales funnel!
I hope this gives you some ideas and inspiration for your own products, your services, as you’re building out a funnel.

All the best,
Gary Nugent
