How Can I Promote Clickfunnels?

How To Promote Clickfunnels

Clickfunnels (read my review here) is a fantastic tool for building sales funnels that initially collect email address to build your mailing list so you can then repeatedly remind your subscribers about the product you’re trying to promote.

Funnels can also be used to expose subscribers to a series of different products, often with increasing prices.

If you’re wondering how you can make money online with sales funnels and email marketing, check out this post.

How To Promote Clickfunnels

So how do you go about make money promoting Clickfunnels®?

The first thing to do is to join the Clickfunnels affiliate program. It’s free to become an affiliate and there are several books, webinars and courses you can to promote Clickfunnels, including the 14-day free trial for the online service as well.

Clickfunnels Affiliate Program Benefits

It’s recommended that you don’t send people directly to products using your affiliate links but to send them to an optin page (sometimes called a squeeze page or landing page) where you collect their email address.

This way, you can start building your own email list.

Typically, you’d create these pages with Clickfunnels itself. You can do that with the 14-day free trial but you have to pay for the service after that if you want to continue to use your funnels.

You don’t have to use Clickfunnels to build your optin pages though.

You can use other, less expensive services to get started with. They won’t have the features that Clickfunnels does, but they will get you started. This post gives you some options.

Once someone signs up to your mailing list, you can either redirect them, using your affiliate link, to the product you want, or you can send them to what’s called a Bridge Page.

These pages are sometimes called Thank You Pages. It’s another page where you thank the person for signing up and provide a little more info on the product you’re sending them to.

You can have a button on the page they click to go to the product and/or you can have the page automatically redirect them after a set amount of time (15-20 seconds for example).

Adding a video of yourself talking about the product is a good idea as it introduces you to your subscriber and starts to build a relationship with them. Otherwise, you’re just another faceless marketer.

Taking Things Up A Notch

While getting started as an affiliate as outlined above is fine, you should think about stepping up your game.

There are a lot of Clickfunnels affiliates out there and you want, no “need” to set yourself apart so that potential customers are more likely to sign up under you.

And the best route to achieve this is to get a mentor (buy a course) from someone who’s already become a major Clickfunnels affiliate.

Ultimate Clickfunnels Course

While Clickfunnels® is an online business service, in the past it’s often been promoted as a business opportunity due to its potentially lucrative affiliate program.

Back in June (2019), Clickfunnels clamped down on two strategies being used by some affiliates (even after being warned not to):

  1. Affiliates can’t promote Clickfunnels as a biz opp (as I’ve already mentioned). It’s probably fair to say that most affiliates were doing this.
  2. Affiliates cannot poach customers from other affiliates. There was a tendency for some affiliates asking customers in their trial period to cancel their account and then sign up under them so they’d get better bonuses and such.

Now, any affiliate caught in violation of the new affiliate policy will be permanently kicked out of the affiliate program. So don’t be one of those people.

The three mentors I’d recommend you check out are:

  1. Spencer Mecham – the #1 Clickfunnels affiliate. Earned over $1,000,000 in commissions in 2018
  2. Rachel S. Lee – one of Spencer’s top students. She’s also made over $1 million in commissions.
  3. Zach Crawford – my mentor as I came across him first. He’ll make over $1 million in commissions with Clickfunnels this year. He has free affiliate marketing training here.

You can mess about trying to figure out promotional strategies yourself. There’s also videos on YouTube but I’ve found that following in the footsteps of someone who’s already been successful saves a lot of time and heartache.

Getting Clickfunnels Clients

Since any business with a presence online wants more leads and customers, the potential client base for Clickfunnels is enormous.

Many marketers have focused on promoting it just to the Make Money Online niche whereas they’d be better off promoting to other professions like dentists, lawyers, electricians, etc.

Don’t forget that aside from promoting it as an affiliate, you can also build funnels for clients in your account and charge them a monthly fee for each one.

I wouldn’t recommend paying for advertising if you’ve no experience in doing this. Slapping up some Facebook ads is just likely to end up losing you money.

You’re far better off learning the marketing ropes using free traffic before committing any money to advertising.

Yes, it’ll take longer and it’s more work, but you have to build a solid foundation to your online business and understand the processes involved.

The one approach I’d suggest you take is that your primary aim should be to help people, not to get a sale.

People can see desperation in the way some affiliates approach promoting products and they’ll run a mile from it.

If you offer people real help, they’ll see you as a valuable source of information and aid.

They’ll come to trust you and then they’ll come to you looking for your recommendations.

When they come to you, you don’t need to cold-sell them.

So, if you’re ready to stump up some cash for a quality course and, more importantly, a quality mentor, now’s the time.

These are the courses I recommend, but be aware that they are not cheap. These are NOT the low to medium grade $97 courses you find elsewhere.

All the best,

  1. Hi Gary, thanks for sharing this. I’m just trying to build up my audience and get my blog ranked #1 on Google right now, but when the time comes I’ll have to think about Clickfunnels.
