Is Builderall Worth It In 2021?
NOTE: Please note that the prices in this article were correct at the time of publication in May 2021. The pricing and packages offered by both Clickfunnels and Builderall have since changed.

I only recently (early 2021) signed up for Builderall after having been a Clickfunnels subscriber for 2 years.

I did this partly so I could write a review of Builderall (which I’ve yet to get around to) and partly for myself since I’ve always felt Clickfunnels was overpriced for what it offers and I wanted to see how Builderall compared.

I originally heard about Builderall around the same time as I heard of Clickfunnels and while Builderall was promoted by many affiliates as a less expensive version of Clickfunnels, it didn’t have a dedicated tool for building funnels, which is what I was looking for at the time.

Builderall released their own dedicated funnel builder in early 2020 and it and several other tools in their suite got upgrades for the Builderall 4.0 release back in October 2020 (Version 6 is due for release on September 15th 2023).

New tools were also added into the mix.

The basic Clickfunnels account is $97/mth and for that you get:

  • You can build, at most, 20 funnels or 100 pages. These are limits I keep hitting and it’s annoying
  • There’s no storage space limit for the assets you build, but only being able to build such a low number of pages and funnels means your account won’t be using a huge amount of storage space anyway
  • You can build membership sites as part of a funnel and the lesson pages don’t appear to impact your page count
  • You get free access to hundreds of templates for funnels and pages as a member
  • The funnel builder is clunky by 2021 standards. It’s block-based and it’s impossible to position elements to the exact pixel. I’ve found this results in pages that don’t 100% match what I’m trying to achieve
  • You don’t get an Autoresponder – you have to pay for that separately, between $15 and $30 per month, depending on which service you sign up with and how many subscribers you have. Those costs also escalate as your subscriber numbers increase
  • If you want access to advanced marketing tools, like an autoresponder, your only option is to go for the Pro plan which costs $297/mth
  • If you’re an affiliate marketer, you have to be a Clickfunnels subscriber to become an affiliate. The program pays 20% commission on sales through the “Clickfunnels” badge that can appear at the bottom right of your pages; 30% if you actively promote it through affiliate links and 40% once you bring in 40 paying subscribers.

And that’s about it.

In comparison, this is what Builderall offers:

  • Their Cheetah Plan is $14.90 per month (or $19.90 per month if integrated through WordPress). It’s geared more towards email marketers  (you can use this to build optin, landing, etc. pages)
  • Builderall’s Premium Plan is a better equivalent to Clickfunnels’ basic plan. With it you get full access to all its tools (all 47 of them) which include a website builder, funnel builder, chatbot builder, autoresponder, booking tool, calendar tool, video hosting and many more
  • The Funnel Club Plan is their top-level plan and costs an initial $199 and then $79.90/mth after that. With this plan you get access to hundreds of page, site, funnel and chatbot templates and more are constantly being added
  • Since Builderall includes an autoresponder, you don’t need to pay for an additional 3rd-party service like you do with Clickfunnels. If you factor in that additional cost, Builderall is nearly half the price of Clickfunnels
  • There are no restrictions on the number of assets (funnels, pages, sites, chatbots, etc) that you can create, though there is a 10Gb storage limit on your account
  • You can collect an unlimited number of subscribers with their autoresponder and the fee never changes. From what I can see, their autoresponder is better featured than Aweber’s (the one I’ve historically used).
  • You can build an agency offering these business assets to clients and manage them on their behalf and charge them a fee. Since there are so many tools available here that Clickfunnels doesn’t include, it’s a one-stop solution for being able to create exactly what a client is looking for.
  • If you’re an affiliate marketer, Builderall provides a 2-Tier affiliate program that pays 30% commissions on both tiers, so it’s much better than Clickfunnels’. You also get 100% of the first payment made by someone you refer. So if you get someone to subscribe to the Funnel Club, as an affiliate you’d get the initial $199 and then a recurring 30% commission on their future monthly payments.

200 Builderall Facts
As I mentioned, I’m relatively new to Builderall myself and I haven’t had the time to look at all the tools, but I have just completed building my first sales funnel and email marketing campaign, all within Builderall and I’m happy with the results.

I particularly like that page elements can be placed down to the pixel level, and the builder uses layers when positioning page elements so they can be partially placed over each other rather than side by side.

One thing I would like to see in Aweber is a visualization tool that shows me how my email campaigns and sequences hang together.

Builderall’s Mailing Boss autoresponder has such a tool so now I’m looking at migrating my email lists over to it from Aweber and dropping my Aweber subscription.

I can only answer the question that’s the title of this post from my personal perspective and I would have to say that, yes, Builderall is definitely worth it in 2021.

Clickfunnels has essentially remained stagnant as a tool since I started using it and it really feels like a tool from another era now (at least to me).

Builderall continues to improve its tools and can now be justifiably called a real competitor to Clickfunnels.

Builderall 5 will be released in a few months while Clickfunnels will…remain the same unless there’s some secret unannounced developments underway that no one knows about.

I still have my Clickfunnels account for historical reasons.

I use a number of shared funnels (funnels created by other users) that contain videos that are locked to playing on the Clickfunnels domain.

This isn’t a Clickfunnels issue, they could just as easily be locked to playing on the Builderall domain.

But it means that I can’t move some funnels from Clickfunnels to Builderall because some essential videos won’t play.

That’s something to keep in mind if you’re thinking about switching from one funnel building service to another.
